Marion Leeper – Really Scary Ghost Stories from The Fens

Marion Leeper gave one of our most popular talk nights in 2024, and so we couldn’t not invite her back. This time, she’s bringing some even scarier ghost stories from The Fens.

Marion grew up in a family of tale-tellers and has been telling stories ever since, with more stories than she can ever quite count rattling round her head. Her versions of traditional tales range from stories embedded in dark earth of the fens, to unexplored corners of myth and legend; stories best told in the mud (Love Stories from the Earth) or under a star-filled sky (Stories in the Dark).

Well known in the Cambridge area, she has appeared at Cambridge Junction, and at festivals including Ely Folk Festival, the World Storytelling Café Festival in Marrakech, and Whittlesey Straw Bear Festival.
